Tina Koufas-Eisbachers' RA-4 color photographs are traditionally created in the darkroom using a technique uniquely hers, which combines negatives and transparent overlays to create ghostly figures. These surreal places speak of futures devastated by Nuclear war, pollution, etc. The scenes range from the end by nuclear war to Rebirth, in which everything, including the environment has a gas mask on it. There is no digital manipulation involved in any aspect of the process.
What is it that the viewer is to ponder when looking at the different images?
And what do the images say about how people perceive and treat animals and the environment?
