As an animal rights activist, I support many organizations that are working to raise public awareness change the many horrible ways in which man treats other sentient beings. Unless we are willing to step out of our comfort zone, speak out against these atrocities and get the antiquated laws changed regarding all animals, nothing will happen.

I believe this is one of the many factors that is affecting what is ailing our people in this world. What I mean is, and I put it to everyone as a question: If you want to see positive change happen, and reverse the negativity around you and affecting you, do you not have to accept that everything living, thinking and breathing are connected to each other and to pick and choose what lives and what dies breaks that connection; and that no species of living, thinking creature, is here for the entertainment, nourishment or torture of another, but to live in peace and harmony with each other????

There are exceptions, like boxing, but none in the animal world.  People can say I choose to box, or I choose to race or what ever, but I have NEVER heard a greyhound or pit bull say they want to race or fight to the death! And anyone who thinks geese enjoy having food forced down their throats until their stomachs burst are definitely part of the problem, not the solution.

Thats all I'm saying, to just give it some serious thought. Muhatma Gandhi, said: " You can judge the progress of a society by how well they treat their animals"

Here's another quote; by Abe Lincoln  "I do not care for a man's religion whose dog or cat are not the better for it."

I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of the whole Human being".  Nice concept I think!

By the way, I am donating 25% from the monies I make on each artwork to GREAT ( Greyhound Rescue and Adoption of Tampa Bay). An absolutely  dedicated, Caring and tireless group of Voluteers that rescue, foster and place greyhounds in homes, And all while attending meet and greets, having fund raisers, etc. I am honored to be a Part of this organization.
